Hardy taking time off his tour due to struggle with ‘serious anxiety’

Hardy is taking time off his current tour to deal with mental health issues that began over a year ago after his tour bus was involved in a serious crash.  Hardy and three of his crew members were en route to Nashville following a show in Bristol, Tennessee when their bus ran off the highway and rolled over, with himself and the other passengers being treated for significant injuries. The tour bus driver suffered the most serious injuries, with a lengthy hospital stay and recovery.

Hardy wrote in a social media post on Tuesday, Oct. 3  that he’s taking time to address his issues, explaining that he’s still feeling significant stress and anxiety after being involved in the bus accident:  “I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year, and over the last two weeks, it has taken control of my life. It’s caused me to suffer many panic attacks which have landed me in the hospital. I need a moment to focus on me and to make myself better for my wife, family and you, the fans … My plan is to be back and focused on Oct. 12. The Mockingbird & the Crow Tour is scheduled to continue that date with a stop in Jonesboro, Ark. Thank you for understanding, see you soon.”

Hardy is currently cancelling two dates on his current headlining the Mockingbird & the Crow Tour (which is named for his most recent album) in Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Brandon, Mississippi slated for October 5 and 7, respectively. His October 6 concert at the Georgia Rodeo has been postponed until April 2024.
